So what's the problem?
You'll get a hash missmatch and will try downloading from scratch now
getting the html page only / the new source?

I agree there is a chance that things may go wrong. However it may just
work in most cases.

This still doesn't help me with the question:
How to pass the flag "use it or don't" to the builder.
