I see sometimes in nixpkgs sha256 strings shorter than those I receive by a simple "sha256sum". I assume they aren't in hex, but in another base. Where do those strings come from? I'm just curios. By now, I've always filled sha256 attributes with the long strings from sha256sum. Regards, Lluís.
