[Nix-dev] Static binaries with static nss from glibc

After too many attempts of getting the "--enable-static-nss" configure
flag in e?glibc working (despite the advises from glibc people on
"this is not supported"), I decided to stop on this job. Although the
static nss libraries build well, and also libc.a, I don't success on
linking programs with them, getting many missing symbols related to
the "great nscd" stuff.

I also surrended on dietlibc, although with a bit of pain I think I
could make a dietlibc usable on arm.

I decided to head to uClibc. This is only for the 'curl' and 'bzip2'
programs in the stdenv/linux/bootstrap/arch/. Does anybody know of any
problems on using uClibc? Why nixpkgs used dietlibc instead of uClibc?
I think it can be used with a normal linux kernel. I will try this
this afternoon I think.

Regards,
Lluís.
