I'm actually not very happy about this src-*-for-default.nix stuff since it adds
a great deal of clutter to each package (i.e. two extra Nix expressions for each
package).  I would prefer having this information *in* the package expression
itself, and have the updater work "in place".  This is basically what Ludo's
GNUpdate [1] does, but it should be generalised to support non-GNU packages
