[Nix-dev] groupmod failing in nixos

Hello,

our activation script runs 'groupmod --gid num x' for the groups not maching the
gid expected by nixos. In my system, this command fails.

# grep dovecot2 /etc/group
dovecot2:x:45:

# LANG=C groupmod --gid 46 dovecot2
groupmod: Cannot determine your user name.

(LANG=C is to have the message in English).

Any idea of what fails?
