It's kind of independent of the switch to git, but yeah, we'll have a
Nixpkgs/NixOS branch that gets updated automatically when some tests have
succeeded, all the Hydra jobs have finished, and the binaries have been
mirrored.  So that should make it safe to do an upgrade.
