1. You haven't objected a (couple of) month ago when I moved everything to 
top-level.
2. It allows you to pick only gtk and glib, not glib-networking and friends. 
I'd prefer some deep override if we really need old glib (i.e., we can't 
steal a patch from debian/gento/...).
