Why - by default? Why not just have a separate ppl_checked package (of
course they call one expression with different flags) with maintainer =
 you + whoever wishes and platforms = all and priority = 1 ? This way it
gets tested everywhere, test build can never be accused of using too
much Hydra resource, and stdenv developers do not need special tricks
for reasonable rebuild time.
