I cannot reproduce this. Obviously it shouldn't depend on the Apple GCC, but
furthermore "nix-env -u" shouldn't upgrade to nix-1.0pre24749 (which is the
SQLite Nix branch, marked as low priority).
What does "nix-build -A nix" produce?
